• Daniela Anderson, owner of The Alpine Adventure Agency, is a bi-lingual, Italian-American who has shared a lifetime between the Italian Alps, Venice, the French and Italian Riviera, and the United States. She is in the unique position of being able to gift her guests with very exclusive immersion experiences because she personally escorts our guests through their entire stay. You will not be visiting the region as a tourist, but as a "member of the family," embraced by the locals and experiencing daily life in vibrant  villages that have not yet been destroyed by commercial tourism.

• We take you off the beaten path, even in wildly popular places like Venice, and literally immerse you into the local culture, stripping away the tourist layer that prevents many visitors from being able to experience "life as a local" in the regions we visit.

• The Alpine Adventure Agency is unique in providing Italian cell phones to each paying guest for use during your vacation. You will not need to worry that your own phone will not work in Italy. You can buy more minutes for your phone easily in most stores. We have made instant concierge service and assistance possible with important phone numbers already programmed into the phones, including mine, the hotel, local transportation companies, and medical assistance. I am just a phone call away to assist you with any needs or requests.

• Many scenic group tours, workshops and conferences include as many as 30-50 participants.  We prefer to keep our numbers between 10- 20 guests total in our featured trips. We strive for stellar individual  attention for all guests enjoying one of our vacations.
  

• Maintaining a smaller group size allows us to become immersed completely  in the local culture.  We enjoy exclusive and unique experiences not possible for larger groups.

• We provide hiking poles to each guest so all you need to bring are your hiking boots!  Specialized hiking and other outdoor gear is available for rental once you are here.
  

• Our vacations are all-inclusive: lodging, most meals and beverages, transportation to and from the transfer point, and all expenses associated with scheduled group activities are included in your package.

• Upon request, the hotels' kitchens and the restaurants we visit can accommodate mosts dietary need with advanced notification.

• Many tour companies do not accomodate guests with physical limitations. We pride ourselves on working with guests of all physical abilities to see which of our featured trips fit their lifestyle and needs.

WE GIVE YOU PEACE OF MIND KNOWING THAT OUR LEAD GUIDES FOR ALL ORGANZIED GROUP ACTIVITIES ARE AMERICAN RED CROSS CERTIFIED.

• The Alpine Adventure Agency lead guides are certified to provide first responder care and be the first link to help until professional emergency personnel can arrive in case of an emergency. They are not EMT's, paramedics, doctors or nurses.

• The Alpine Adventure Agency lead guides who accompany all organized group activities are certified in American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR/ AED for the Professional Rescuer. This certification focuses in recognizing and caring for choking, breathing emergencies, and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants, as well as advanced aspects of CPR that includes two-rescuer CPR, airway management, use of a resuscitation mask, use of a bag-valve-mask and use of an automated external defibrillator. We are pleased to provide our guests with guides trained to american standards who can initiate the emergency response process while you are away from home.

We often collaborate with a local consultant, Alessandro Simon, who specializes in outdoor/ nature photography. Alessandro was born into one of the oldest families in San Martino, dating back to the mid-1800's. He is considered to be one of the leading experts in the Flora and Fauna as well as one of the most talented nature photographers in the region. His gallery shows are in great demand and very well received.

Based on Alessandro's availability, he will be present for some of our scheduled, outdoor group activities, taking the group to the best locations to take pictures, giving advice on using your equipment, and showing you where to stand to get those amazing shots of your dream vacation (minimum of 10 booked guests is required for Alessandro's inclusion in the package).

Alessandro can be hired for private instruction and consultation during our tours based in San Martino di Castrozza (based on Alessandro's availability).
