Some of the Myrna Stahman's Faroese Shawl and  Lace Knitting Workshop students visiting Gianna Tavernaro at the Malga Canali in the Italian Dolomites. Gianna raises Cashmere goats, various breeds of sheep, and dairy cows at her Malga, a high mountain dairy high up in the Italian Alps. We had a chance to play with her antique carding bench and spinning wheel, and compare our knitted shawls with hers.   Visits with Gianna are a highlight during our knitting trips in the Alps.
